Chipotle Inspired Meal

RECIPE (½ pint single serving)

2 serving amounts in parenthesis • ⅓ cup instant brown rice (⅔ cup) (white rice used in video) • ¼ cup FD beef or chicken (½ cup) (chicken used in video) • 2 Tbsp instant black beans (¼ cup) • 1 Tbsp FD corn (2 Tbsp) • 1 Tbsp cheese powder (2 Tbsp) • ¼ tsp lime powder (½ tsp) • ¼ tsp chili powder (½ tsp) • ⅛ tsp cumin (¼ tsp) • ⅛ tsp smoked paprika (¼ tsp) • ⅛ tsp garlic powder (¼ tsp) • ⅛ tsp onion powder (¼ tsp) • Dash cayenne pepper (not used in video) • ¼ tsp salt (½ tsp) • ¼ tsp cilantro flakes (½ tsp) (not used in video) 📝 NOTE: Take into consideration that brown rice usually takes longer than white rice to hydrate. *DISCLAIMER: Not affiliated in any way with the restaurant Chipotlé 🔥 ADVENTURE MEAL INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Boil 8 oz of water. 2. Pour hot/boiling water into the Mylar bag with dry ingredients. 3. Stir, seal, and let sit 15-20 minutes, rotating and squeezing the bag periodically to help blend the ingredients. 4. Stir again, and enjoy! 🔥 PRESTO NOMAD INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Fill a wide-mouth pint-sized jar with the ingredients listed above. 2. Add 8 oz water, stir, then leave it in your warmer until it's fully hydrated (approximately 45 minutes). 🔥 STOVETOP INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Add 8 oz water and ingredients to pot 2. Stir to blend ingredients and let soak for 10 minutes. 3. Cook on medium heat, stirring frequently until most of the water is absorbed or cooked off. 4. Take off heat and cover for 5 minutes. 5. Stir again, then serve 🥣 MEAL CUSTOMIZATION IDEAS • Add freeze-dried bell peppers, onions, and diced tomatoes for a fajita-style touch. • Use taco seasoning instead of individual spices for convenience. • Add avocado powder to get a creamy guacamole flavor. • Use a different freeze-dried meat (beef, pork, etc) 📅 MEAL EXPIRATION DATE: If you are using fresh ingredients, heat sealing this meal in a mylar bag, using the appropriate sized oxygen absorber(s), and your ingredients have been stored under optimal storage conditions, the expiration date of this meal will be about 5-10 years.
Chicken Mac & Cheese
RECIPE (8 oz, ½ pint, single serving) 2 serving amounts are in parenthesis. • ½ cup pasta (1 cup) • 2 Tbsp freeze-dried chicken (4 Tbsp) • 2 Tbsp cheese powder. (4 Tbsp) • 1½ Tbsp béchamel mix (3 Tbsp) • ½ Tbsp butter powder (1 Tbsp) • ¾ tsp cornstarch (1½ tsp) • ¼ tsp mustard powder (½ tsp) • ½ tsp onion powder (1 tsp) • ½ tsp garlic powder (1 tsp) • ⅛ tsp pepper (¼ tsp) • ⅛ tsp salt (¼ tsp) • ⅛ tsp parsley flakes (¼ tsp) • 1 cup water + 1-2 Tbs (1 cup + 3 Tbsp) 🔥 CORRECTED STOVETOP COOKING INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Bring 1 cup + 1-2 Tbsp of water to a rolling boil. 2. Dump the entire contents of the mylar bag into the boiling water and stir well. 3. Place on low heat (3-4 on stove dial), and leave uncovered for 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently. 4. Let sit for 3 minutes to thicken. 📝 NOTE: When following these instructions, the pasta comes out slightly aldenté. If you want your pasta softer, cook pasta separately from other ingredients. 🔥 ADVENTURE MEAL COOKING INSTRUCTIONS (ADD BOILING WATER TO MYLAR BAG): 1. Replace the regular pasta in this recipe with pre-cooked dehydrated pasta (instant pasta), and use a zipper mylar bag with enough room left in the bag to accommodate the water being added. 2. Boil ¾ cup water 3. Pour boiling/hot water into the mylar bag 4. Seal and let sit for 10 minutes, stirring or shaking occasionally. 5. Replace the regular pasta in this recipe with pre-cooked dehydrated pasta (instant pasta). 2. Place the ingredients, along with with ¾ cup water to the ingredients in a wide-mouth 1 pint mason jar. 3. Stir contents of mason jar to fully mix the ingredients. 4. Place the mason jar in the Presto Nomad food warmer and heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. 5. Check texture and continue to warm for an additional 5-10 minutes if pasta is not done. 6. If consistency is too thick, add more boiling water, up to an additional ¼ cup.
