Mississippi Beef Roast in Slow Cooker

I allowed to roast to cook on low for 6 hours before I added:
2 C water
1 large sweet onion, chopped
1 c chopped baby Portabello mushrooms
I shredded the roast and allowed to cook another 2 hours on HIGH before I added:
2 quarts beef broth or 1 quart broth and 1 c water
1 additional au jus packets and 2 C rinsed but uncooked rice and allowed to cook on high an additional 2 hours.
It is awesome!
Simple "Pink" Sauce
3 c Alfredo sauce
2 c Pasta or Tomato Sauce
1 can fire roasted tomatoes with chiles
1/3 c tomato paste
1 c beef broth
1 medium to large sweet onion, chopped or sliced to your preference
1 TBSP each: garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika
Heat on med stirring constantly until smooth and heated through.
Use as you would alfredo or marinara
Meat Balls
2 bags pre-cooked meatballs of your choice
1 c beef broth
seasonings to your taste
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 (F)
Pour meatballs in 11X 9 baking dish. Next pour broth over meatballs then season meatballs but do not stir or mix. Bake for half time indicated on package then stir meatballs until all the broth has covered every meat ball. Return to oven and continue to bake meatballs for additional 10 - 15 minutes.
Remove from oven when meat balls reach internal temp of 160 degrees.
